How to use essential oils There are several methods of using essential oils in your sacred space: Diffuser Put a few teaspoons of water in the bowl on top of the diffuser. Light the candle under the diffuser and then sprinkle a few drops of your chosen essential oil onto the water. Water bowl Fill a small bowl or saucer with boiling water and add a few drops of essential oil to the water. The steam will carry the heavenly aroma around the room. Candles Light a candle to allow a small amount of wax to melt. Blow out the candle and add 3 drops of essential oil to the melted wax. Take care not to drop any on the wick, as essential oils are highly flammable. Now light the candle carefully again. Room sprays Fill a small plant spray with water and add 10 drops of essential oil. Spray your spiritual haven taking care to avoid polished services. Cushions and pillows Sprinkle 2 drops of essential oil onto the cushions in your sacred space you use for your meditations, therapy and angel exercises. At night time add 2 drops to your pillow to encourage communication with your angels during your dreamtime. Alternatively put the drops onto cotton wool balls and place them inside your cushions and pillowcases. Incense/smudge sticks Add 3 drops of essential oil to incense sticks and smudge sticks. Hands Put just 1 drop of essential oil onto the palm of one of your hands. Rub both palms together and hold your hands in the prayer position close to your face. The essential oils, which you choose to contact the spiritual realms, are very much a matter of personal choice.
