The following settings should solve any problems experienced when using the Denise Brown shopping site


TYPICAL PROBLEMS:

  • Prices partially or totally not displayed
  • Zero Totals displayed at Basket/Checkout
  • 'undefined0undefined' displayed at Basket/Checkout

LATEST INFO - Windows Vista or Internet Explorer 8,9

Windows Vista or Internet Explorer 8 users who have selected 'Enable protected mode'
will need to edit their 'Trusted sites' settings or Disable protected mode.
You are also urged to update your Java Software.

PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT SETTINGS

Our site features require ALL Internet Explorer browsers to have JavaScript enabled and to accept cookies.
This help topic describes how to enable JavaScript by resetting browser security to a predefined level.
Once JavaScript is enabled, the browser must be configured to accept cookies
Don't forget to open up a fresh browser window after changing settings.

Enable JavaScript

Use the following instructions to enable JavaScript in your Internet Explorer browser:

1. In the upper right corner of your Internet Explorer browser, click Tools.

2. Select Internet Options.

4. In the Security level for this zone area, click the Custom Level button.

5. In the Reset Custom Settings area, select Medium-high from the Reset to menu.

6. Click Reset.

7. Click Yes when asked Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone?

8. Click OK to close the Security Settings - Internet Zone window.

Vista or IE8 users are also urged to update their Java Software

Enable Cookies

Use the following instructions to configure Internet Explorer to accept cookies:

1. In the upper right corner of your Internet Explorer browser, click Tools.

2. Select Internet Options.

3. Click the Privacy tab.

4. In the Settings area, click the Advanced button.

5. In the Cookies area, clear the Override automatic cookie handling check box.

6. Click OK to close the Advanced Privacy Settings window

Trusted Site Settings (for Internet Explorer 7 (Vista) or Explorer 8,9 users who have selected Enable Protected Mode)

1. In the upper right corner of your Internet Explorer browser, click Tools.

2. Click the Security tab in Internet Options

3. In the Settings area, click the green Trusted Sites tick

4 Click Sites to open the Trusted sites window.

5. Uncheck Require server verification .................

6. Type / Copy + Paste the two domain names below into the zone field and click Add

7. Click Close to close the Trusted Sites window

8. Click OK to close the Security window

Disable Protected Mode - only applicable to Windows Vista or IE8,9 users

You can use the following instructions to configure Internet Explorer to totally disable
Protected mode but you may prefer to just edit your Trusted site settings.

1. In the upper right corner of your Internet Explorer browser, click Tools.

2. Select Internet Options.

3. Click the Security tab.

4. Clear 'Enable Protected Mode'.

5. Click OK to close the Security Settings - Internet Zone window.
