Bergamot is a very uplifting oil and is renowned for its ability to treat anxiety and all stress related disorders. It has a sedative yet uplifting effect.A great oil to put in your bath or burn when you're feeling low. Or put a few drops on a handkerchief and carry it around with you.
If, like me, you are a fan or Earl Grey Tea you will recognise the aroma as the leaves of the plant are used in the manufacture of the tea. And Earl Grey tea for me is a great pick me up!
For those who get stressed out prior to a period bergamot is a must- have, instead of reaching for too many bars of chocolate use your Bergamot oil instead!
On a spiritual level Bergamot aligns us with the quality of purity. It is ideal for transmuting negativity. It can be used effectively if you feel you have picked up negativity (for instance, depression) from others.
One of the things I adore about Bergamot is that it blends well with almost all other essential oils!
