I adore High Altitude Lavender. It has a fine aroma and I would always use it in preference to the usual Lavender

Lavender is the most versatile of all essential oils and is a must-have for your home. I have a bottle in almost every room and always carry a bottle in my handbag and in the car for emergencies.

Lavender is known as the universal healer since it is beneficial for almost all conditions! It can be added to a bath to boost the immune system.  Use 6 drops in your daily bath to enhance protection.

It’s a fabulous oil for your babies and children too. I don’t know how I would have survived bringing up children without it! You will only need 1 drop for a baby’s bath. Lavender can help a baby with so many problems . Put one drop on baby’s nightwear to help a restful nights sleep. Burn Lavender with another favourite children’s oil of mine, Myrtle, to help any coughs and colds. When you change baby add 1 drop Lavender and 1 drop Roman Chamomile to warm water to clean baby’s bottom. This will help to prevent and treat nappy rash.

Use few drops of Lavender sprinkled on the pillow for a good nights sleep. Or take a relaxing aromatherapy bath – try 3 drops Lavender and 3 drops Vetivert.

Lavender can be used neat for First Aid purposes. Use it neat on cuts and also on bites and stings and burns to ensure fast healing.

Lavender harmonises the nervous system and relieves anger and irritability. Inhale lavender whenever you feel uptight. You can even use Lavender for panic attacks. Put one drop on the palm of one hand, rub the palms of your hands together, then place your hands gently over your nose and inhale and breathe deeply. Many people find that the attack quickly subsides.

Lavender is also renowned for its ability to relieve headaches. Place a drop on a warm, damp flannel and place on the back of your neck or on your forehead to combat pain instead of taking a tablet. If the pain is very severe then try 1 drop lavender and 1 drop Peppermint.

There are so many uses of Lavender;  it is hard to say what it doesn’t do!
