Marjoram is a comforting and sedative oil recommended for all states of anxiety

It is particularly useful for the recently bereaved and broken hearted as it instils peace and creates a padding between you and the outside world. Try 1 drop Marjoram, 1 drop benzoin and 1 drop of rose in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil or simply inhale a couple of drops of one of these oils from a tissue throughout the day.

Marjoram is a warming oil and is great for boosting the circulation as well as for bringing warmth to cold and stiff joints. It is particularly good for deep aches.

Marjoram is used extensively for digestive problems. It is particularly good for relieving spasms in the colon and also for constipation. Try 1 drop Marjoram, 1 drop Cardamom and 1 drop Black Pepper in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil.

Marjoram is also helpful for coughs, colds, flu and catarrh and sinusitis. It is particularly beneficial at bedtime as not only will it decongest and heal throughout the night, it will also help you to go to sleep. Try 2 drops Marjoram and 1 drop Frankincense in 10mls ( 2 teaspoons) carrier oil to help you to breathe more easily and deeply.

On a spiritual level Marjoram opens up the heart chakra.
