The fresh, forest-like aroma of Pine is perfect for banishing apathy and lethargy from body and mind. Think of how well you feel when you are up in the mountains amongst the pine trees inhaling the aroma!

I recommend Pine for anyone who is recovering from illness – it will speed up the healing process and lift the spirits. It can even help long term conditions such as chronic fatigue giving the person new strength and determination to overcome their illness.

Pine oil can be useful in the treatment of the respiratory tract since it clears the chest and the lungs. Put a few drops in an oil burner to clear the head and also to purify the air in the presence of illness. Try a chest rub of 1 drop Pine, 1 drop Frankincense and 1 drop Elemi in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil.

Pine is beneficial for muscular aches and pains and is useful after overexertion at the gym. Try 2 drops Pine, 2 drops Lavender and 2 drops Marjoram or alternatively 2 drops Pine, 2 drops Rosemary and 2 drops Frankincense in the bath.

On a spiritual level Pine helps us to feel strong and grounded.
