Niaouli is one of my favourite oils for the immune system.

It is very useful in helping the body fight against infections, so it is ideal for coughs, colds, catarrh, sinusitis etc.  Put a few drops in an oil burner to prevent the spread of infection at home and in the office and put a drop of Niaouli on a tissue or cotton wool pad and inhale deeply to clear your head.  To soothe a sore throat. put 1 drop of Niaouli and 1 drop Lemon in a glass of warm water and gargle several times a day.

Niaouli is also a great pain reliever.  You can use 1 drop neat for toothache and if your joints and muscles are painful and achy try 1 drop Niaouli, 1 drop Peppermint and 1 drop Chamomile in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil and massage into the affected areas.

Niaouli is a wonderful oil for the treatment of burns, in fact, it has even been used in some hospitals during teh treatment of radiation therapy in order to reduce the severity of burns.  If you are unfortunately suffering from sunburn, Niaouli can help to reduce the pain and to acclerate the healing process.

Niaouli can be used to wash out cuts and wounds. Put a few drops in a bowl of warm water and use this solution on cuts to stop infection and encourage wound healing. Niaouli can also help with acne and oily skin. Try 1 drop Niaouli, 1 drop Cypress and 1 drop Neroli in 10gms skin cream.

On a spiritual level Niaouli gives us strength and protection and helps us to stick firmly to our spiritual pathways.
