I think of Petitgrain as the poor man's Neroli as the aroma is so reminiscent of Neroli.
Whereas Neroli is extracted from the flowers (making it much more costly) Petitgrain is extracted from the leaves and twigs resulting in a much higher yield.
Petitgrain is a reasonably priced oil which you can use on a daily basis to combat stress and induce a wonderful sense of well-being.
Use 6 drops in your bath to relieve stress and tension.
If you suffer from insomnia try 2 drops Petitgrain and 2 drops Lavender sprinkled on your pillow.Petitgrain is useful for the digestive system and in particular for stress related digestive problems.
Use it for nervous indigestion, diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome.
Try 1 drop Petitgrain, 1 drop Mandarin and 1 drop Chamomile in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil and massage your abdomen gently in a clockwise direction.Petitgrain can be used for oily skin as it has a tonic and cleansing action on the skin. To balance oily skin try 1 drop Petitgrain, 1 drop Geranium and 1 drop Cypress in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil or 10gms cream.
On a spiritual level Petitgrain uplifts and revitalises the spirit.
