Details

Tagetes has a very sweet, fruity aroma with a hint of citrus.

It is often used in a burner as it is a very effective insect repellent. Use a few drops of Tagetes on its own or try it with Lemon or Citronella to repel insects and unwanted smells, for instance, after cooking.

Tagetes can be a great aid for treating the respiratory system.
Try 1 drop Tagetes, 1 drop Myrrh and 1 drop Ravensara in 10mls (2 teaspoons) carrier oil as a chest rub to fight off infection.

Tagetes is most well known for treating problems of the feet. It is anti- fungal and so is indicated for problems such as Athletes’ Foot.
Put 2 drops Tagetes, 1 drop Tea Tree and 1 drop Myrrh in a bowl of warm water and soak the feet for about 10 mins. 
You could also make up a foot cream for the prevention and treatment of foot problems.
Try 1 drop Tagetes, 1 drop Lavender and 1 drop Spearmint per 10gms cream. Aromatherapists also use Tagetes to treat corns, calluses as well as chilblains.
Try footbaths and make up foot creams and massage oils choosing from Tagetes, Myrrh, Lemongrass, Tea Tree, Lavender, Spearmint and Cypress.

Tagetes is an uplifting oil that gives you a sense of well being and helps to dispel apathy and lethargy.

On a spiritual level Tagetes fills the spirit with joy.
